Although it has generally not been my policy to respond to the many facile and outrageous slurs directed against Arab and Islamic peoples in the American news media, the serious racial implications of Rabbi Abraham Cooper's essay (Editorial Pages, Sept. 12), "Arabs' Hatred of Jews: Can the Carnage Be a Surprise?"
The writer of "Woman Slain, Gunman Killed at Mall in Canoga Park" (July 20) had absolutely no information and seemed to be winging it, and very badly at that.
Rabbi Cooper's article stated that "a hatred of Jews and Judaism has entered the mainstream of contemporary Arab and Islamic life."
I thought Ruth Ryon's article on 'Used' Syndicate Shares Find Mart' (June 22) was terrific.
